Grossman Batmitzvah at Bubby’s Brooklyn

I admit, it had been a while since I shot a Batmitzvah. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. While both weddings and Batmitzvahs have a different story to tell, they each mark a turning point in a woman’s life. I tried to approach the day like it was Jessie’s introduction to the world as a young woman. I knew from the first frame of Jessie sticking her tongue out at her little brother that this was going to be a fun shoot. I could see the transformation throughout the night. Jessie was equally poised and playful, as a young 13 year old should be. It was a high energy day, full of emotion and most of all fun. I’ve got to give a shout out to the “motivators”, dancers who work with the dj. They had more energy than the kids! Blossom and Branch did an amazing job with the flowers and table design not to mention the candy bar. Delicious. Congratulations Jessie, you are a fantastic young woman with a bright future ahead of you.
